Knauf Aquapanel
Knauf Aquapanel Exterior is a 100% Cement Board that is usually fixed to a supporting drained and ventilated framework off the structure, this framework can be either metal or treated timber.
The Knauf Aquapanel Exterior Cement Board is the ideal backing board for boarded directly applied render systems including Norstone and has the following major advantages:

When installing the Knauf Aqua Exterior or Interior Boarding, the installation methods must be strictly adhered to for the Knauf PRODUCT warranty and the Laticrete 10 year warranty to apply when affixing Norstone.
Drawings/plans of intended installation methods must be sent to Mr Stephen Gore, Project Specification Mgr Aquapanel, Knauf (UK) Gmbh for his approval. His email address is [email protected]. Any technical questions regarding the installation of Knauf Aqua exterior Panel or interior Boarding, must be sent stating the installation required to allow Norstone to be affixed to Knauf. Any amendments stated by Knauf must be incorporated within the plans in order the Laticrete 10 year warranty and the Knauf Product warranty to be in place.
For the 10 year Laticrete warranty and the Knauf Product warranty to be in place, all materials need to be purchased from Rock On Ltd.

Aquapanel Board - BBA Life Assessment - working life expected up to 50 years
The Knauf Aquapanel Exterior Cement Board is the ideal backing board for boarded directly applied render systems including Norstone and has the following major advantages:
- Ease of use - score and snap cutting, no need to pre drill when fixing.
- Can be easily curved without detrimental effect to performance, to 3 metres radius, and down to 1 metre radius when in 300 mm strips.
- It is made from Portland cement and contains no organic fillers, therefore it is completely dimensionally stable and robust, and has no potential of mould growth or rot.
- When the wall is taped and jointed it can be left without finish as a weatherproof wall for up to 6 months before being finished.
- Applicators already using the Knauf Aquapanel Exterior Cement Board claim that the Basecoat drys much faster in comparison to other boards.
- Manufactured and backed by a major global company - Knauf - details and specifications available with technical backing and support.
- Distributors can take single pallet loads and not be left holding stock after supplying smaller projects.
- Knauf Aquapanel Exterior is BBA certified and therefore is approved by NHBC, Premier Guarantee and LABC.
- Knauf Aquapanel Exterior is CE Marked as a result of the ETA (European Technical Approval) Certificate.
